Time, how it flies. I've got about a year and a half under my belt when it comes to this page, with perhaps two articles a month, or so. I've gone from zero hits a month to somewhere around three or four thousand. Wow.

There are some pro War on Terror arguments in here, and some anti War on Terror arguments in here.

War on Terror I is anti-violence. The War on Terror lacked a name at this point.

II and III both question the extremes, legally and militarily, that the US is going about to fight this war.

IV is the most recent article, which was triggered by this personal insight : Our methods may not be the best, or our motives the purest, but our enemy is dangerous and the time to fight is now. Suboptimal solutions are better than no solutions at all when your ass is on the line, and ours is.

I was going to put everything in Rickety Houses on the front page, but got longer and longer, so I moved it. In essence, you could say I wrote a new article by accident.

Moved the lag and launchcast stuff to a new section. "Old Rules" is a piece that has been around for a while. The new bit is "Workers of the World, Unite", where I depart completely outside my intellectual training and risk being eaten by a grue.

I've just rewritten my lag article, adding a lot of new stuff, and, as the saying goes, "removed all of the old problems, by accidently replacing them with new problems." However, if you can get through my hackneyed prose, there's 10 years of coding and networking experience buried in there to help keep you from getting killed in Diablo II.

I have also "rushed to press" (wrote in one sitting) a third article, on Ideology. I did this solely so it might be stumbled across by new site visitors generated by the lag article. If that's you, give them a read. In some way, they are entertaining, I promise, and hopefully thought provoking. Feedback on either of them, as always, to shren@io.com .

My page looks like The Misanthropic Bitch's page, so I might as well write some articles. I've been told I have some unique thoughts, except most people just call them wierd.

My intention is to post one article a week, long or short, on whatever is on my mind. The Libertarian Party, Alternative Energy, Politics, The War on Drugs, Music, Games, whatever.
