John and I moved here in August of 1998 and we loved this city. We moved along to Denver, Colorado in May of 2007 but it was a difficult decision to make because there was still a lot to love about this Texas town.
Austin is a beautiful city at the eastern edge of the Texas Hill Country. It has plenty of trees, flowers and wildlife. There is so much to see and do in Austin. This is a collection of some of our favourites.

you have probably used Adams!
Adventures
in Crime & Space => Austin's Science Fiction and Mystery Bookstore!
Alamo
Drafthouse => Great group of theatres that has grown from a second-run
theatre to many theatres with first and second run films. They serve great
food and drinks too (including beer, hence the name). And don't forget
to take in UT Football games there.
Amy's
Ice Cream => Texas premium ice cream. Great stores, great employees
and sugar-free yogurt for John! What more could you want in an ice cream
chain?

Austin
Berstrom International Airport => The new airport is nice and has
plenty of Austin food and music to show it's guests.

Ice Cream => Great tasting Texas Ice Cream that even comes in several
flavors of "no/low fat, no sugar added" which is important
to us now that John is diabetic!

Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum => If you don't know anything
about Texas history, this is the place to visit. If you do, you should
still check it out!
Book
People => Largest bookstore in Texas!
Capital
Metro => How to get around Austin!
Central
Market => This is one of our favorite places to browse, not just
a regular market!
