This was a fun project that we have worked on, on and off for the past several months. We had intended to build Santa's Workshop as well, but it appears that it will have to wait till next year.
Some of the elves have decided to come along to provide any last minute assistance. They have also already begun to party, as can be seen in the photos below. Won't be long before they are back at work.
Here the train is winding its way (around our Christmas tree and) into the small but quaint village, lightly dusted with newly fallen snow.
A view of the village. The town hall flanked by several homes.
The villagers have their Christmas lights and decorations up
The train is pulled by a stately old fashioned steam engine, and driven by the man himself.

The engine pulls three cars loaded with presents for all the good boys and girls around the world. One might ask "why only three cars for all those presents?" Well, it's the same technology that Santa uses for chimney diving and sack stuffing, (and it's also proprietary)...so three is all he needs.
