I've been reading a lot of van Vogt. Here's a list of his books I have
and their copyright dates, with the books in no particular order. Well,
OK, they're in a particular order: the order they're stacked in on a
nearby bookshelf or shoved into a box in the attic.
There appears to have been a number of novelizations and combinations of
short stories and novelettes, and I've included notes found on the

This maybe be my favorite Van Vogt short story. Colonizing conquerors
arrive on a planet where everyone is dead, resurrect some of the natives,
and get a surprise.
