The Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry is
a World War II British reenacting group.
Headquartered in Austin, Texas, our membership crosses
the vast state. We are dedicated to preserving the past
through collection and presentation of 1939 through 1945
uniforms, equipment and vehicles.
As a member of the Texas Military Historical Society, we travel to public events, stage mock battles and assist in providing living history. One of the extra benefits is the staging of historical wargames. Working side by side with Allied reenactors we, once again, battle the Axis forces (this time for fun).
The OBLI web site has gone through a major transformation. Since it's inital start six years ago, this site pioneered the British WW2 web presences. Please take a moment and travel through our web site. We are documenting restoration projects for several jeeps and equipment; the fabrication of an operational Daimler Dingo scout car; outstanding collections of equipment and uniforms; and the publication of the second installment of the Tommy Series, as authored by David Gordon, former OIC and longtime member. Our goal is to provide a web site that equals the outstanding impression and devotion of our members.
