I've been majorly slacking on updating this page, apart from checking the links every, oh, century or so. So there isn't too much here that you haven't already seen if you've been here in the past couple years. I just don't have the time or motivation to keep it up to date. One of these days, I'll probably just make this into a link to my current bookmarks; those actually change somewhat more frequently...
A site that's kept only slightly more up to date is my domain: ymb.net. The racing project is what really gets updated frequently.
TV and MOVIES |
Visit the official Star Trek site, or the god of all Star Trek: The Next Generation sites. Some movie review sites by some guys I usually agree with: James Berardinelli's Reelviews or Christopher Null's Filmcritic.com. A few of my favorite pictures are: my favorite film of all time, Koyaanisqatsi. If you haven't seen this film, you are missing out on one of the most intense visual experiences ever put to film. Check out the greatest cyberpunk movie of all time, Blade Runner, and another one of those weird films, Clerks. Have you ever heard of the game called "The Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon"? Well, you can visit the Oracle of Bacon to find the true path of enlightenment. |
Fun and Games |
Try a fun game called Tremingo. Sometimes the page loads, and sometimes not. Shadowfist, the greatest card game in the universe! Visit the Card Search Engine. |
Help! |
Be an informed net.citizen: read the RFCs. Also check out IP's Next Generation. Need help with your HTML? Here's some good reference material. Web and VRML references: the Web Developer's Virtual Library. I also found a cool site called Plan 9 Studios which has a bunch of worlds. In the way of viewers, check out the VRML Repository. For users of GNU software, the GNU manuals are available in hypertext format, and again. Try the O'Reilly & Associates Online bookstore for more help with UNIX. If you need any other books, don't go to Amazon, since they're lawsuit happy over their "patent" on One-Click Ordering. Instead visit Barnes & Noble. |
Miscellany: The Stuff That's Too Cool To Kill.TM |
Getting flamed on USENET? RTFM dammit! Otherwise, you get exactly what you deserve. The Useless Pages page. There's a guy who has a bunch of info about Converse All-Stars, which I've been wearing since I was a sophomore in high-school. I about fell out of my chair when I visited the Geek Chic pages. I have collected a few new links to anti-spam pages: The Junkbusters and the Blacklist of Internet Advertisers. Also check out another spam-fighting spot. Set your computer's clock with the atomic clock at the US Naval Observatory. How bad is the traffic in Houston? Take a look. Oh, and try not to laugh too hard. And last but not least, try the home page of my beloved provider, Illuminati Online. |
