Texas Archaeology Fair

This is a great event for adults and kids interested in old-time Texas, with lots of outdoors, hands-on activities. You can:
Learn to use an Atlatl (spear-thrower)!
Make Pottery, Baskets, and Hunting Tools.
See Stone-tool Makers in Action.
Paint a pictograph.
Pull a plow.
Take part in a demonstration dig.
Learn to identify archeological clues.
Have your artifacts identified by experts.

Muster Day

Free

Muster Day commemorates the history of Texas military forces, from Revolutionary days to the present. Weather permitting, cavalry demonstrations and World War II battles occur on the broad parade grounds, along with a mechanized parade, Confederate Air Force and Texas Air National Guard flyovers, and re-enactors of various stripes.
