Lisa is Random and Vialle’s youngest daughter. She is only sixteen years old, but incredibly intelligent and insightful; in fact, she is a supra-genius and child prodigy. At an early age she was packed off to Shadow Earth, where she attended universities all over the planet, majoring in art, physics, mathematics (minor in cryptography), biology, medicine, computer science, film, and French cooking... to name a few. She is a favorite of her Aunt Fiona, and has studied Trump Artistry under her. (Corwin once remarked that it is only around Lisa that one can hear Fiona give unreserved praise.)
Lisa speaks over 50 different languages, can perform complex cryptological operations in her head in real-time without the help of a computer, and fix nearly everything. However, her passion is Japanese manga, which she reads voraciously, as well as illustrating her own popular title, a romantic epic known in English (she does her own translations) as Frozen Memories, which is about a family of immortals that can travel to different worlds with only a thought. Despite the obvious parallels to Amber, all the characters in the manga are of her own creation, as are the complicated love triangles that dominate the comic. She longs to have an epic romance like those she depicts in her comic, but her distance from the people of Earth in intellect has kept this from happening as of yet, despite her best efforts.
Lisa was brought back to Amber to visit her father – she hasn’t even walked the Pattern yet. The death of her father was devastating to her, and she is determined to make sure whoever ends up on the throne respects his memory.
