In 2007, George Slessman, Bill Slessman and Anthony Wanger founded IO Data Centers in a garage with 3 laptop computers and a folding table from Costco with one sole purpose: To disrupt and revolutionize the data center industry. Our founders reinvented the Colocation Data Center by bringing webscale to any scale. IO has a Global Footprint with 6 locations around the world including Scottsdale, Phoenix, New Jersey, Ohio, London, and Singapore.

George Slessman Chief Executive Officer
For nearly two decades, George Slessman has been a technology visionary and leader. He has founded, built, and successfully exited multiple businesses in his career, creating over a billion dollars in equity value. George’s forte is disruption – inventing and synthesizing software, data and energy technologies in unique ways that have enabled the transformation of business and mission performance for over a thousand enterprises and organizations.
Anthony Wanger President
Anthony Wanger serves as President of IO. In this capacity, Wanger directs the Company’s expansion and acquisition activities, oversees key transactions and the Company’s Legal, Ecosystem, Real Estate, and Risk Management functions. Wanger has led IO’s DCaaS expansion and development across the world. Prior to his involvement with IO, Wanger co-founded and managed Sterling Network Services, LLC, a leading enterprise data center services provider. Earlier in his career, Wanger was a private equity investor and served as Senior Vice President at Sterling Partners where he directed a variety of investments and transactions for the firm. Wanger graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Emory University and a Juris Doctor degree from the Boston University School of Law.
Adil Attlassy Chief Development Officer
Adil Attlassy serves as Chief Development Officer for IO. In this capacity, he is directly responsible for global site selection and development and oversees IO’s global Data Center 2.0 delivery. Attlassy is also responsible for the company’s data center procurement and supply chain engagement. He has spent 18 years in the telecommunications and data center industry, and has had responsibility for delivering solutions for enterprise customers globally. Prior to joining IO, Attlassy held executive positions with Digital Realty Trust in the US, the UK and Singapore. He received a DUT from Institut Universitaire de Technologie, Mulhouse, France, a BS in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles and an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management.
Mark Wachtmann Vice President Product and Technology
Mark Wachtmann serves as Vice President Product and Technology for IO and is responsible for the overall performance of the network and cloud services product lines. Mr. Wachtmann has over 20 years’ experience of demonstrated success leading business and technology strategy, planning and execution for start-ups and established companies with global footprints. Prior to joining IO, Wachtmann served as Vice President Global IT Operations at Aristocrat. Wachtmann also held multiple leadership positions at GoDaddy, building and delivering web scale service provider class services. Prior to GoDaddy, Wachtmann held product and operations roles at Blackboard and AT&T. Mr. Wachtmann holds a Bachelors of Science from California Statue University-Northridge.
Karen Stein General Counsel
Karen Stein is General Counsel for IO. Ms. Stein oversees all legal and risk management functions of the Company. She holds a Juris Doctor, with Honors, from Emory University, an MBA from Loyola University with a concentration in Finance, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Maryland, where she graduated magna cum laude. She has practiced law since 1994, focusing on business transactions, licensing, and intellectual property. Before joining IO, Ms. Stein practiced at the Troutman Sanders law firm in Atlanta, Georgia, and served as the Assistant General Counsel for the PGA TOUR for ten years.
Rick Crutchley Managing Director North America
Rick Crutchley serves as IO’s Managing Director of North America and is responsible for developing, managing and executing the Company’s sales strategy. Mr. Crutchley is a 16-year data center industry veteran, focused on building global sales teams, optimizing the customer experience and attaining annual sales and revenue targets. Upon joining IO in 2011, Crutchley was instrumental in providing best practices as business growth exceeded 30 percent year-over-year for three consecutive years. Mr. Crutchley previously served as the Vice President of Global Sales for CoreLink Datacenters as well as the Chief Operating Officer for CyberTrails, a national provider of IT services. He was also the General Manager and Director of Western Operations for Inflow, which was acquired by SunGard in 2005. Mr. Crutchley is a board member of the Arizona Technology Council and Fresh Start Women’s Foundation. He is also actively involved in the CEO Forum and Arizona Business Leadership Association. Mr. Crutchley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin.
Nigel Stevens Managing Director UK
Nigel Stevens is Managing Director of IO UK and is responsible for the overall performance of IO’s business and operations in the United Kingdom. Over the course of his 25-year-career, Stevens has held senior management positions in the United Kingdom and United States. Prior to joining IO, Stevens served as chief marketing officer of Infinity SOC Limited. Stevens also held leadership positions at Global Crossing, Cable & Wireless Worldwide and THUS pie. Mr. Stevens spent 10 years in the USA and now lives in North London with his wife Jo and four children.
Darren Webb Managing Director Singapore and Southeast Asia
Darren Webb
As Managing Director in Singapore and Southeast Asia, Darren Webb leads IO’s business and operations locally and regionally whilst driving growth in both existing and new markets within the region, establishing Singapore as the strategic Asian hub. His key responsibilities will be to increase market share, profitability and overall operational efficiency. With over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Darren has held senior appointments across the globe. Prior to joining IO, Darren served as head of business Transformation for Asia and Africa at Vodafone. Darren previously held a number of leadership positions at Cable&Wireless in both Asia and Europe.
