~ Panelists will focus on the evolving APAC data center market and its growth potential ~
Phoenix, Ariz – September 12, 2016 – IO, a leading global provider of data center services, today announced the second of four panels it is organizing at “The IO Conversation: The Data Center as a Platform” conference.
During “The APAC Data Center of Today and Tomorrow” session, panelists will examine key drivers for growth of data centres in the APAC region and if the region can sustain this growth against shifting global economics. The panelists will also discuss the evolving industry needs and challenges, and how data centres in APAC are preparing for an increase in growth, adoption, and maturity of massive scale clouds.
“Companies looking to expand within the APAC region, and specifically in Singapore are increasingly more inclined to choose an international data centre provider such as IO.Singapore to fulfill their need for data centre services. This drives opportunities and innovation in the APAC data center market and within Singapore, a primary data centre hub in the region,” said panelist Darren Webb, Managing Director, Singapore and Southeast Asia, at IO.
“The Asia Pacific region has the potential to fuel the next frontier of growth for both cloud and data centre services. The pace of adoption and maturity is accelerating throughout the region, though navigating the fragmented Asian landscape has proven to be challenging for many enterprises and service providers. The panel aims to provide a deeper understanding of the nuances between both major and emerging markets within APAC,” said moderator Jabez Tan, Research Director, at 451 Research.
Darren will be joining the panel led by Jabez along with Roy Joseph, Managing Director at Goldman Sachs; and David McCullough, Cloud Strategy Director at Megaport.
The conference will feature three other panel sessions – Strategic Colocation and What That Means, Renewable Power Strategies – The Next Clean Generation of Data Centers, and The Role of the Data Center in the Internet of Everything – as well as networking opportunities and a cocktail reception.
“The IO Conversation – The Data Center as a Platform” conference takes place on September 13, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Rosewood Sand Hill in Menlo Park, Calif. The event will examine the fundamental change in the design, deployment and management of data centers driven by connected applications and the “Internet of Everything.”
Other conference speakers include executives from Microsoft Accelerator, Bloom Energy, Century Link, Vapor IO, 21 Inc., BMW North America, and Chertoff Group.
