~ Panelists will focus on how the current state of technology impacts networks, businesses and data centers ~
Phoenix, Ariz – August 8, 2016 – IO, a leading global provider of data center services, today announced the first of four panels it is organizing at “The IO Conversation: The Data Center as a Platform” conference. The hour-long panel, Strategic Colocation and What That Means, will examine the five key trends affecting the current state of technology – mobility, consumer technology, cloud services, hyper-digitization, and globalization – and their impact on current networks and businesses. Panelists will discuss how strategic colocation hosting services provides a next generation data center platform and helps businesses leverage these trends in order to thrive both now and in the future.
“As businesses look to address the network demands of current and emerging technologies, it is important that IT executives and decision-makers understand how data center infrastructure platforms are evolving,” said panelist Nigel Stevens, Managing Director, UK, at IO. “Colocation is transforming, and it’s no longer solely about saving space and overhead costs. This emerging strategic colocation approach is about establishing a foundation that allows your business to be agile and innovative.”
Stevens is a panelist for this event and will be joined by Scott Coleman, General Manager at Microsoft Accelerator; Peter Gross, Vice President of Mission Critical Systems at Bloom Energy; Cole Crawford, Founder and CEO at Vapor IO; and Rob Pfleging, Vice President Data Center Engineering Innovation and Expansion at CenturyLink.
The conference will feature three other panel sessions – The APAC Data Center of Today and Tomorrow, Renewable Power Strategies – The Next Clean Generation of Data Centers, and The Role of the Data Center in the Internet of Everything – as well as networking opportunities and a cocktail reception.
“The IO Conversation – The Data Center as a Platform” conference takes place on September 13, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Rosewood Sand Hill in Menlo Park, Calif.
